Andy has over 30 years in the pension and investment industry. He worked for Prudential and Standard Life for almost 20 years before becoming an independent financial adviser.

Andy is an investment specialist which means he has clients who are still planning their retirement as well as many that have already retired and or who require his Later Life expertise.

Professional Qualifications

Andy is a Chartered Financial Planner and Associate of both the Personal Finance Society and the Chartered Insurance Institute.

These qualifications result from successfully passing the following examinations:-

SV1 – Savings and Investments CF8 – Long Term Care Insurance
G10 – Taxation and Trusts J06 – Investment principles, markets and environments
G60 – Pensions AF4 – Investment Planning
K10 – Retirement Options AF5 – Financial Planning Process
K20 – Pension Investment Options EF1 – Equity Release

Andy is a full member of the Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA) having been awarded the Later Life Adviser Accreditation in December 2013.

In January 2016, Andy was awarded the SOLLA Retirement Advice Standard. This prestigious accreditation offers consumers, looking for advice on their retirement, confidence that the adviser they choose is well qualified, experienced and capable of dealing with their financial needs in retirement.

Andy is an Affiliate of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) having passed the STEP Certificate for Financial Services (Trusts & Estate Planning) in December 2012.
